Daniel’s Amish Furniture Benefits

Daniel’s Amish Furniture History

Daniel’s Amish first started out with Daniel Yoder living in Holmes County Ohio. Daniel was a stone mason, but family health drove him to find a career that would better suit his family’s needs. Thus, his career in wood working began, first starting out by carving small figurines, but after the first year he switched to building furniture. Starting with curio cabinets he slowly began to build the company and make larger furniture and creating the company we know today.

Fabricated from handmade proven methods, Daniel’s Amish furniture will last generations. Traditional Amish furniture making methods and the finest materials together create beautiful furniture for your bedroom or dining room. With Daniel’s Amish, the quality of their furniture comes first, but so does the environment. Therefore, Daniel’s Amish only sources wood from earth friendly companies. Hardwood is culled from local forests in eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Daniel’s Amish creates hand-crafted furniture that will last. This is executed in a 7-step finishing process that helps to create long-lasting furniture. First step is to finish sanding the constructed furniture. Once sanding is completed the staining process begins followed by a catalyzed varnish sealer. After the sealer is applied the furniture is set to dry. After the drying process sanding is performed. Once sanding has completed the catalyzed varnish topcoat is applied and the furniture is sent to be cured.

Daniel’s Amish is located in Holmes County, Ohio, one of the largest Amish populations in the world. With the experience of generations of Amish making fine furniture, it still continues to be passed down to today’s skilled woodworkers.
